Wellesley Schools Superintendent David Lussier informed the Schofield Elementary School community on Tuesday night that the facility will be closed to staff and students on Wednesday, May 21 due to a “significant plumbing issue…today that resulted in sewage backups in our bathrooms.” After-school and evening activities are also off due to the issue. Stay tuned for updates on Wednesday…

“I think it’s ironic that the same day that close to 60% of voters voted ‘Yes’ on Question 2 [in favor of an override] that the toilets at Schofield School (AKA Precinct D for Wellesley Hills voters) backed up today… Given this news, who can deny that voting has impact? Perchance did someone clog the pipes with hanging chad?”
