Wrecking Ball, Upham Wellesley MA
The sixth annual Upham Sports Carnival will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Upham School, 35 Wynnewood Road.

Back by popular demand: a Candy Bar featuring allergy-free treats and a dunk booth starring principal Jeff Dees. Other highlights include sports-themed games such as hoop, archery and hockey in which all comers win prizes, a cake walk and a mani/pedi station.  There are plenty of activities for little ones, too, including bouncy houses and bead crafting. Food and drinks are also available.

$5 raffle tickets buy you a chance at Celtics tickets and other prizes.

The carnival is Upham’s biggest fundraiser of the year and more than half of the proceeds go towards improving the playground spaces.

In the event of rain, almost every activity and game will transition seamlessly indoors.

Ticket prices are $20 for a packet of 45; $10 for 20 and $5 for 10. Admission to most activities and games is two to four tickets.

Families interested in details about – or assistance with – accessibility to the carnival may contact the office of Salvatore Petralia, assistant superintendent of Wellesley Public Schools, at (781) 446-6210, ext. 4503. The accessible entrance to Upham’s Upper Field, where the bouncy houses and a few games will be located, is located on Tanglewood Road.
